WOMEN'S COUNCIL 501C(3)
Women’s Council of HBREA is a 501C(3) that strives to help deserving students with funds to go to college. Students must be recommended by a Women’s Council Member, must also attend a financial literacy class from Women’s Council, turn in transcripts and an essay on what financial literacy means to them.
LILY FONTENO
Lily Fonteno was born May 29,1918 in Galveston, TX. She worked tirelessly in Real Estate for over 40 years, opening doors for women in this profession. She was the first President of the Women’s Council Houston Real Estate Association.The Women’s Council of the Houston Black Real Estate Association organized the Lily Fonteno’s Scholarship and Award Fund Raiser in 2002 in her honor as one of the founding members.
